Hunting Season: 15th August – 15th December, 15th January - 15th March*

The ultimate trophy of all the Ovid's, the Marco Polo Argali, is the worlds largest sheep, and can be found in large numbers in Tajikistan. There is no where in the World better than Tajikistan to secure a really large Marco Polo trophy. The average horn length shot on our hunting grounds is 148cm (55”) – 147cm (58”), but larger trophies can occasionally be taken.

If you have read our Real Big 5 Ovid tab, you will know that the Marco Polo will not venture below 3000 meters, and have a stamina, speed and wariness beyond most game. Our base camps are at 4200 meters, meaning that you are sleeping in the middle of Marco Polo territory, with the opportunity of hunting the sheep anywhere up to 5000 meters on horse back and foot..

Although extremely tough climbing and conditions, the Marco Polo is quite achievable with the hunter often being able to take horses to within a good stalking distance of beasts.

Accommodation is in our own simple hunting house or tents. All houses or tents are equipped with basic comfort and a power generator. We can accommodate between 2 to 4 hunters, with extra room for non – hunters. We do not normally recommend more than 4 hunters on one of our hunting grounds, for risk of not all sportsmen being able to achieve their trophies.
